Refresher course itinerary
- Fitting a range of surface mount components using correct alignment and orientation. Utilizing pin to pin and drag soldering techniques.
- Understanding and detecting lifted legs on surface mount components.
- Removing shorts from surface mount components.
- Fitting a range of through hole plastic connectors. Understanding the need for quality and care.
- Forming lead tails on through hole components correctly.
- Correct use of flux and solder paste.
- Safe pin cropping
- Using hot air gun to remove various surface mount parts.
- Understanding the difference between a good and bad solder joint.
- Use of correct soldering iron tip, solder and iron temperature.
- Desoldering various through hole components .
What do S.T Training provide?
S.T Training can provide tools, documentation, practice PCB`S and soldering irons if required. It may be beneficial for students to complete courses using the soldering tools they are required to use everyday. All candidates who complete the course can receive a certificate of attendance upon request. Certificates are usually sent within 14 days.
What do we need to carry out training?
S.T Training will require work bench space for all candidates and adequate electricity sockets.
Course duration:
The set refresher course usually lasts for one day. This will depend on your requirements.
Course running times:
Courses usually run from 830-430 9-5 or 10-6 . Course times are flexible. Weekend training is available contact us for further information.
Course cost:
1 to 2 people = £375.00 per person per day.
3 to 5 people = £350.00 per person per day.
6 people= £325.00 per person per day.
Course payment:
Payments should be paid 7 days before the course start date. If you are a company of less than 8 employees you may be entitled to our small business support payment options.
